How to Print and Assemble My Digital Sewing Patterns

Digital patterns allow an instant delivery to your email, which means that you can start your project right away when inspiration hits you!

All of my sewing patterns come in three paper sizes for you to choose from: A4 and US Letter for home printers and A0 for printing at a copy-shop. Each paper format includes the same sewing pattern and sizes.

The patterns are layered, which gives you the option to print out only your desired size or sizes. To do so, open the sewing pattern PDF file in Adobe Acrobat Reader, and click on the “Layers” icon. Hide all the sizes you do not wish to print out, by clicking on the layer’s “Eye” icon, but be sure to not hide the “Pattern markings“ layer.

To print out the pattern in Adobe Acrobat Reader, set the printer settings to “100%” or “Actual size”. First, print out the first page and measure its test square with a ruler.

If the dimensions are correct, then print out the rest of the pages, and you are ready to get started with your sewing project! Line up the sewing pattern according to the scheme presented in the sewing pattern instructions.

Each paper has a small text at the bottom of it, indicating its row and column, to make the assembly as smooth as possible for you. Cut or fold the mage margins, Start by cutting or folding the page margins, and use clear tape to tape the pages together. Voilà, the sewing pattern is ready!

Happy sewing!
