From Bland to Grand: A Romantic Transformation With Laura Ashley's Peacock Wallpaper and the Magic of Muted Beige

From the storied Laura Ashley peacock wallpaper to the chameleon-like tones of Tikkurila paint, this is the story of how we turned a thirty-year-old välikkö into a soulful, romantic sanctuary through the beauty of slow, family-led renovation.

A cozy, low-lit kitchen corner featuring a small, round table covered with a white linen tablecloth with a ruffled edge. Two plates of food (likely the sweet potato dish) are set, along with two glasses of white wine or water, and a small pink baby bottle or sippy cup. The table is surrounded by two dark green, wooden chairs, one with a red and white striped cushion. The floor has hexagonal honeycomb tiles, and a window to the left is draped with a sheer white curtain. In the background, part of a high chair, green kitchen cabinets, and house plants are visible.

Hi! I'm Stella.
